About

ABOUT WILD ROSE SANCTUARY

Wild Rose Sanctuary is a Non-Profit, Registered Charity Horse Sanctuary established in 2019 by Dianne and Gerhard Foerg and is located on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Today the Sanctuary is run by Dianne and her great-niece Kaelyn, as well as a group of dedicated volunteers. The sanctuary is home to over 70 large animals including horses, wild mustangs, ponies, mules and donkeys that were saved from slaughter, neglect and abuse. All these animals will live out their lives in peace now knowing they will be cared for and loved.

It is such an overwhelming feeling to walk among the horse herd knowing these animals now trust again after the trauma they have been through. Everyone here at our sanctuary has a name and everyone knows their name when called. We provide a forever home to two sheep, 2 goats, one alpaca, a cow, a steer and a pot belly pig as well.

At Wild Rose Sanctuary we are committed to caring for every one of the animals here and providing them with quality of life, love and respect for the rest of their lives.
